National Coach Youngho Kim of the Republic of Korea visited Stanford Fencing last week along with other members of the Lourus Fencing Club, part of the Lourus Co., Ltd founded by Jimi K. Jung. Mr. Jung and multiple-Olympic medalist Coach Kim arrived with their team of young Korean fencers who participated in an intensive, week-long training session in Stanford Fencing's Arrillaga facility. Stanford fencers engaged with the visiting students. Some fencers received private lessons from Coach Kim as his gift. The cooperation between Laurus and Stanford Fencing is just one example of the Stanford program's strong international outreach.
