Stanford Varsity Fencing opened the season at home with victories for both the mens' and womens' teams. The men won against visiting Cal Tech, Detroit, and UC San Diego, going undefeated as a team. The women fenced against the same schools with the addition of Northwestern; they defeated Cal Tech and Detroit, but ended 2-2 with losses to UC San Diego and Northwestern. This was the first tournament for freshmen Cole Connelly, Kian Ameli, Jeremy Klepner, Maneeshika Madduri and Francesca Bassa. Read more at the Official Stanford Fencing Website.
